Birthday Club
Designed to create a day that is uniquely their own
Experiencing a day of celebration is a significant part of a child’s growth process and goes a long way toward building self-esteem. This program is so special to the kids that they often ask our Administrative Assistant, Miss Brown, when the next birthday is and come running into our birthday corner as soon as we start.
Creates wonderful memories for our children and families
Our Birthday Program is run by our Lead Volunteer Donna Jordan, and staff members Claudia Brown and Chingy Di. The weeks that we have a birthday(s), we will celebrate it on Wednesday’s in the library’s birthday corner.
We start by singing happy birthday with the kids and then they enjoy a cupcake with juice.
Each child receives a birthday party at school with friends, a gift, and a birthday box to take home for a celebration with their family.
We put cake mixes, cake pans, oil, napkins, and plates in the take home birthday bags.
