The 6 pillars of mental health provide parents with essential tools to handle both the joys and challenges of raising a family. By focusing on these pillars, CCF’s six-month program empowers parents to strengthen their well-being, build resilience, and create healthier, stronger families.
What is the Six Pillars Program?
Each month, we’ll focus on one key area, delivering educational materials through texts,
handouts, posters, activities, and emails—all in the participant’s native language. Parents will gain practical strategies to foster strong family bonds and prioritize their own mental and physical health. Here are the pillars:
1. Safety
Children need physical and emotional security to thrive. This pillar helps parents create safe, supportive spaces for open communication and trust.
2. Structure
Consistency is key. Parents will learn how routines—like regular meals and bedtime
schedules—provide stability and promote resilience.
3. Affirmation
Small acts of recognition make a big impact. Addressing children by name, making eye contact, and celebrating achievements boosts self-esteem.
4. Nutrition
Healthy food fuels both body and mind. Parents will learn how balanced meals and avoiding
artificial additives support emotional and behavioral well-being.
5. Activity & Exercise
Movement matters! Families will explore fun activities—like walks, game nights, or cooking
together—that strengthen bonds and promote healthy habits.
6. Sleep
Rest is essential for growth and focus. This pillar teaches parents how to create calming
bedtime routines and ensure children get quality sleep.
